Deliverables
Scenario-based assessment
01 - The Question
Can learners apply HIPPA regulations to realistic workplace scenarios?
02 - My Strategy
I designed scenarios that require learners to apply HIPAA requirements, rather than asking them to only recall the regulations.
03 - Learning Journey
Learners are asked to think of prior learning of HIPAA regulations, read a real-world scenario, and use their judgement to determine the appropriate workplace behavior.

04 - Design Decisions

Recognize potential privacy concerns in workplace scenarios.
The learner will :
Consider the scenario
Recall prior learning of HIPAA regulations
Determine what they would do
I want learners to place themselves in the scenario and decide how they would respond during their workday.
05 - Reflection
This assessment reinforces the importance between knowing a regulation and knowing how to apply a regulation. Designing this assessment around workplace scenarios shifted my focus from asking, "Does the learner remember the rule?" to "Can the learner recognize when to implement the rule to make an appropriate decision?"
If I were developing this assessment further, I would want to analyze response patterns to identify learner's struggles to inform future learning solutions.

06 - Evaluation
How I would evaluate the course.
